What it really feels like to quit your safe, corporate job to become an entrepreneur…

It’s equal parts terrifying and exciting. Beautiful and bumpy. There are fists pumped in the air out of pure joy each time a new client finds their way to you. And tears, so many tears. Tears of joy, fear, and frustration. Banging on the keyboard when you can’t figure out why your damn printer won’t print in color and why your email nurture campaign is jacked up. Because let’s be real...there is no help@lindseybush.com email address.
Most of all -- it’s inspiring. I invite you to watch the first 60 seconds of this video and really listen to the monologue. It describes exactly how I feel about my journey and exactly what I want to help the women I serve come to know for themselves.
Each of us has a dream, a heart’s desire, it calls to us, and when we’re brave enough to listen and bold enough to pursue, that dream will lead us on a journey to discover who we’re meant to be. All we have to do is look inside our hearts and unlock the magic within.
Do you feel the excitement? The chills? That’s what I feel when creating my programs and working with my clients.
Most days I can’t believe this is my real life? Did I -- Lindsey Bush -- type A, always have a plan, rule-follower, overachiever, corporate ladder climber, really quit my job?! The part-time, dream-schedule, hefty corporate salary job?????
Yep, I did. I was so resolute in my decision. I knew, in that moment, beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was time for me to freakin’ LEAP! I also knew that I had to quit right away or I would talk myself out of it.
And you know what happened? The first month after quitting I had my lowest revenue month of my coaching career. I truly believe it was the universe testing me. How bad do you want this, Lindsey? Things are going to get hard at times. Really hard. I need to know that you aren’t just going to quit on yourself.
I believe my journey in becoming the woman and entrepreneur I am meant to be is just beginning. There is something really exciting about new beginnings. The future is limitless. I feel blessed to pursue my purpose of connecting women.
I believe my purpose is to connect women to one another and most importantly back to themselves. Watching someone re-discover who they are after losing themselves through trauma, motherhood, grandmotherhood, becoming a wife, etc. is much like the pride I feel when I see my son happy. There is no better feeling than knowing I was able to help someone on their journey to a better life for themselves and realizing a potential within themselves that many never knew existed.
Our lives are meant to be phenomenal, not mediocre. And if you’ve known me for any length of time you know that mediocre just ain’t my jam. I’m lucky enough to experience much of life’s magic in my pursuit to run my own business. I have the opportunity to feel the vibration of a truly limitless future. The potential and options are limitless. But with that comes a massive amount of responsibility.
I have paying clients to serve and team members to pay, but I can honestly say that I’ve never felt more empowered or alive than I do now. I know that deep down everything I need to accomplish my goals is already inside me.

And so our journey comes to an end...but yours continues on. Grab hold of your dreams and make them come true for you are the key to unlocking your own magic. Now go. Let your dreams guide you. Reach out and find your happily ever after.
Maybe you can’t quit your job today and twirl among the daisies (what people think I actually do), but I challenge you to ask yourself two things:
What, truly, does your heart desire?
What one small step can you take today, tomorrow, and the next day to get you one step closer to that dream?
